I dragged my Darling to go Singapore Expo with me today for the NATAS Travel Fair. Why I used the word “dragged” coz my Darling says “There’s no such thing as a good deal, they will compromised either on the quality or the value or something in that so-called Good-Deal, ‘yi-fen-qian-yi-fen-huo’…” Still, I pleaded… he relented, and eventually come with me. (Thank you Darling!)
The queue was pretty long… $3/= per entry, and honestly… True to what my Darling had anticipated… Every deals sounded great; but comes with a “catch” here or there, or Term & Condition apply, or you can get this good deal provided you go on this particular date or on this particular month… NOT much of a great deal after all.
I was approached by this guy who claim to be a Photographer from Taiwan & told us to take a look at his portfolio should we in future want to have our picture taken; me out of curiosity, I wanted to see, but my Darling told me it must be a “bait” to get us to the booth & told me NOT to fall into the trap in case it is a presentation that is going to last for half-an-hour, but nevertheless, he went along with me after I told him I just want to take a look at the photos, thus, we followed the “photographer cum salesman” to the Taiwan Booths Section…
Once there, a pretty lady indeed show us loads of photographs & told us we can book a photography session with them (can be a Wedding, Honeymoon or Single package portfolio); tie-up with a tour holiday package to Taiwan & the shoot will be done there too (ONE day photo-shoot & next day collection. Personally, I like the end-design of the product & the material the photo is actually printed on… pretty nice & unique). Well, it is not a half-an-hour presentation, but a 45 minutes presentation & sales talk instead (non-stop with the intent till we sign up the packages)!!! Thank goodness my Darling end their sales-talk in a smart & diplomatic ways after I kick his leg hinting him to “get me out” FAST! (Thanks dear...)
Much later… While we were still looking around different section of the travel booths, a tall & charming guy dressed up like Aladdin approached my Darling & talk to him about visiting Turkey; and I told him we’ve been there, and he look surprise & shock…!

He actually “tested” us on the tourist attraction spots & thank goodness I remember a few good one (my Darling got short-tem memory) haahaaaaa!
My Darling then asked me to pose with him & took a picture of us. I asked my Darling WHY he want me to take a pic with him, and he said, “How often do you see someone dressed up like that in Singapore, plus he’s pretty charming too, and he’s nice & sweet by the way... so why not…?”
Anyway, after spending about 4 hours inside Hall 4 & 5, we went to Malan Noodle House to eat “Dim Sum & XiaoLongPau”…
My Personal Verdict on the food: 5/ 10, my Darling gave a 4/ 10.
BOTH of our verdict: We WON’T go there again.
SERVICE WISE: ZERO Service… Coz it’s SELF-Service, that’s why!
